PETIT BISCUIT Interview- first English video interview, Sunset Love
Petit Biscuit is a native of Rouen, France, started making music on his synthesizer at the age of 12 and was a quick study. Within a couple years, the multi-instrumentalist — who can also play cello and guitar — was uploading early recordings to SoundCloud. In May 2016, at the age of 16, Benjelloun released a self-titled EP highlighted by the dazed “Sunset Lover” and the whimsical “Once Again.” Petit Biscuit peaked outside the top Top 50 in France. Benjelloun made his first performances around the same time, including an appearance at Festival Panoramas. 2017 brought the Møme collaboration “Gravitation,” one of several singles released that year which later appeared on Benjelloun’s first full-length, Presence, which expanded his reach by charting in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. In 2018, he issued a series of singles, starting with the Top Five hit “Demain” with rap duo Bigflo & Oli and following with “Wake Up” and “Suffer Safe.”
